International Synergies and TransFIRe are pleased to extend to you an invitation to our second cross sector, resource matching workshop which will be delivered as part of the TransFIRe project. The focal point of our workshop will be the use of a simple, internationally proven resource matching methodology that seeks to identify new business opportunities for participants’ waste resources. An interactive programme of events aimed at Early Careers Researcher's from within TransFIRe and industry with the overall aim of supporting and equipping them with the skills and confidence to deliver ambitious commitments. The workshop will include a series of talks, facilitated sessions, industry visits and networking opportunities. This exclusive one-day event will feature a series of presentations from innovative businesses using digital technologies and platforms to tackle resource and energy efficiency challenges in the Foundation Industries. There will also be an interactive challenge- led workshop delivered by Saeema Ahmed-Kristensen, Professor of Design Engineering and Innovation at the University of Exeter. To support the progress towards the 2040 Net Zero commitments, TransFIRe in collaboration with North Lincolnshire Council is seeking to work with companies, particularly high energy use industries, on considering how to align with broad economic, environmental and social metrics arising from emerging national and international standards.
