Chris Pilgrim is Knowledge Transfer Manager in the Materials team at Innovate UK KTN.
His focus is on connecting people to accelerate innovation in the materials value chain, particularly energy and resource efficiency in the foundation industries. Chris leads the Innovate UK KTN work programme for the TFI Challenge and other related projects, and is passionate about helping these critical industries seize the opportunity in the transformation to more sustainable practices.
Chris has experience in innovation in industry. Before joining Innovate UK KTN, Chris worked for an aerospace manufacturer managing product quality and the metallurgical lab on the site. Prior to that, Chris helped develop and commercialise an innovative coating technology in several technical management roles at a spin-out company from Imperial College. He holds an Engineering Doctorate in Materials and Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College.
